Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced real estate lawyer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for providing top-notch legal services. This role involves handling a variety of real estate transactions, including property acquisitions, sales, leases and financing.
Key responsibilities:
- drafting, reviewing and negotiating real estate contracts, including purchase agreements and lease agreements
- ensuring all contracts comply with current laws and regulations
- conducting thorough due diligence on properties, including title searches, zoning laws and environmental assessments
- identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with real estate transactions
- overseeing and managing real estate transactions from inception to closing
- coordinating with clients, real estate agents, lenders and other parties involved in the transaction
- providing legal opinions and advice to clients based on research findings
- representing clients in real estate disputes, including litigation, arbitration and mediation
- advising clients on regulatory changes and their potential impact on real estate transactions
- staying updated on changes in real estate law and industry trends
- working collaboratively with other attorneys, paralegals and support staff within the firm
- participating in continuing legal education programmes and professional development opportunities
Key qualifications:
- diploma in law and/or Master of Laws degree
- admission to Croatian Bar Association and in good standing
- strong knowledge of real estate laws, regulations and industry practices
- previous positions in international or top tier local law firms are an advantage
- excellent English language skills (additional foreign language skills are an advantage)
- excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills
- ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- strong attention to detail and organisational skills
