Speaking to the leading business journal Ziarul Financiar about the firm's 25 years in Romania, Schoenherr Romania Managing Partner Sebastian Gutiu mentions that the local legal market has come a long way since 1996, when nobody could imagine the reality of law firms with tens or hundreds of lawyers in the country. He also points out various current trends in the legal market, including the growing importance of efficiency and project management in the legal profession. Also, speaking about the challenges raised by the pandemic, he points out the importance of past lessons learned in the financial crisis a decade ago in dealing with last year's rapid changes. He says "lawyers are constantly taking the pulse of the business environment, and the projects we work in (whether we speak of M&A, financing, capital markets, greenfield investments, dispute resolution, insolvency or even redundancies) are a good reflection of how the economy works".
