After Schoenherr recently advised the Austrian fintech company Bitpanda on the largest European Series A financing round in 2020, the firm successfully advised on another start-up financing: Under the leadership of partner Thomas Kulnigg, the Schoenherr team advised Carbomed Medical Solutions, an Austrian FemTech start-up, on a EUR 3m financing. The financing round was led by aws Gründerfonds.
"It is fantastic to have supported the further expansion of this innovative product, and to have guided the team behind it. Congratulations to the entire Carbomed team on this great success," said partner Thomas Kulnigg.
Carbomed Medical Solutions, a start-up founded in Graz, developed and sells the product breathe ilo, a breath analysis device which tracks a woman's cycle predicting ovulation. Before this financing, EUR 5m in investments and grants was already collected to fund the intense product development over several years. With the EUR 3m that has now been secured, the company plans to continue its expansion internationally and to develop new product features.
The Schoenherr team was led by Thomas Kulnigg (partner) and further comprised Clemens Gaugusch (attorney at law); Andreas Natterer (partner); Iliyana Sirakova (attorney at law); and Dominik Tyrybon (associate).
