Austria: Schoenherr advises LISEC Holding GmbH on sale of Glastech to Josko-Scheuringer Holding GmbH

Schoenherr advised LISEC Holding GmbH (LiSEC), a leading global full-service provider of machinery, automation solutions, software and services for flat glass processing, on the sale of its subsidiary Glastech to JOSKO-Scheuringer Holding GmbH (Josko).

With the sale of its subsidiary Glastech, a Lower Austrian producer of insulating glass, LiSEC is exiting the glass processing business. Moving forward, LiSEC will focus its resources on expanding its core business of machine and plant engineering and on software solutions for flat glass processing. Josko will take over the entire Glastech site and all employees on 1 October 2024.

"We are delighted to have advised LiSEC on this significant sale," said Schoenherr partner Michael Magerl, who led the team. "This step is an important part of LiSEC's growth strategy. Congratulations to everyone involved!"

LiSEC is a globally active group, offering innovative individual and complete solutions in the field of flat glass processing and finishing for over 60 years. The company's service portfolio includes machines, automation solutions, software and services.

Josko was founded in 1960 as the Scheuringer joinery business and has developed into a leading Austrian company. It combines uncompromising design and quality standards in its wide range of window and door products.

The Schoenherr team advising LiSEC was led by Michael Magerl (partner) and also consisted of Marion Schimböck (attorney at law), Hannah Lichtenwagner (associate) and Christoph Cudlik (partner).

Josko was advised by SAXINGER Rechtsanwalts GmbH (Gerald Schmidsberger, Bernhard Gonaus and Oskar Takacs).
