Austria: Schoenherr advises nexxar shareholders on sale to RYZE Digital

Schoenherr advised the shareholders of nexxar comprehensively on all legal aspects of the sale. nexxar will remain an independent agency and brand and will continue to manage its clients and projects independently. Eloy Barrantes (CEO), Martin Sagmüller (COO) and Gernot Waidacher (CTO) will continue to lead the business in the long term.

Founded in Vienna in 2003, nexxar conceives and implements digital business and sustainability reports. According to its own information, the agency has implemented more than 1,000 reports for listed companies in Europe, Asia and the USA and employs around 60 people. Its focus areas include Digital Reporting, AI-optimised Reporting and reporting systems such as Workiva.

The RYZE Group will in future realise reporting projects for more than 100 top companies from ten European countries and the USA, including 15% of the Euro STOXX 100. RYZE positions itself as a tech agency among communications agencies with Corporate Reporting, Digital Marketing & Experience, Corporate Websites and digital communication. The collaboration with nexxar strengthens this positioning.

The Schoenherr team advising nexxar’s shareholders was led by Thomas Kulnigg (Partner) and Dominik Tyrybon (Attorney at Law) with support from Nikolaus Vetter (Associate), and further included Christoph Haid (Partner) and Lucija Dipic (Associate) for competition law aspects of the transaction.
