Following the success of last year's inaugural edition, we are happy to invite you to the second edition of Helena, the Polish chapter of Schoenherr's renowned Marianne initiative.

Named in honour of Helena Wiewiórska, the first Polish woman admitted to the bar, Helena is dedicated to empowering and connecting women by sharing stories of resilience, leadership and success. This year's edition will focus on public image and career resilience – how to build, sustain and evolve your professional identity in an ever-changing world.

Krystyna Janda
Krystyna Janda, a celebrated actress, director and cultural leader, who will explore the power of authenticity in shaping one's public image and the role of values in building a lasting legacy.
Biography
Krystyna Janda is a Polish film and theatre actress, director, writer, columnist and singer. She is the co-founder and president of the Krystyna Janda Foundation for Culture and serves as the artistic director of the Polonia and Och-Teatr theatres in Warsaw. She is best known for portraying strong, determined women with rich inner lives. Janda has received numerous film awards both in Poland and internationally, including honours from the Cannes, San Sebastián and Montreal film festivals. She is also a recipient of the Medaille Charlemagne pour des Medias Européens for her outstanding acting career, commitment to European reconciliation between East and West, and advocacy for women's rights. Additionally, she has her own cosmetics brand bearing her name.
Hanna Waśko
Hanna Waśko, a strategic communications expert, who will discuss navigating branding crises and protecting your reputation.
Biography
Hanna Waśko is a strategic communications specialist with 15 years of experience in the PR industry. She is the founder of the Big Picture agency and has previously been professionally involved with top advertising agencies in Poland. She serves as Vice-President of the Board of the Association of Public Relations Firms and is a member of the PR Ethics Council. She actively promotes the industry's engagement in pro bono initiatives and is a board member of ClientEarth Lawyers for the Earth. Hanna holds a degree in political science from the University of Wrocław and the London School of Economics.
