We are delighted to invite you to the Polish edition of the renowned Marianne initiative, established in Schoenherr's Austrian office.
Continuing this tradition, we are excited to introduce Helena, named in honour of Helena Wiewiórska, the first Polish woman to be admitted to the bar. This edition aims to empower and connect women by highlighting stories of resilience, success and leadership.
About Marianne
First launched in 2022 in Vienna by partner Miriam Simsa and partner & COO Gudrun Stangl, the Marianne initiative was named after Marianne Beth, the first woman to complete a law degree in Austria and the first female lawyer admitted to the bar. The series has since gone international, honouring trailblazing women across various regions. In 2024, the Romanian version, Ella, was launched, named after Ella Negruzzi, the first Romanian woman to practise law.

Lidia Kazen is a prominent Polish television executive and producer who currently holds the position of Director at TVN (part of TVN Warner Bros. Discovery). With a background in producing and directing high-impact documentary content, Kazen brings a depth of experience in factual storytelling. She actively promotes diversity and inclusivity across TVN’s portfolio, positioning the network as a progressive voice within Poland's media landscape. She is recognized for her innovative management style, which emphasizes refreshing programming to enhance viewer engagement while maintaining relevance in an evolving media environment. This approach underscores her commitment to balancing commercial success with purpose-driven narratives, aligning TVN’s content strategy with broader industry trends toward responsible, inclusive media production.
