Schoenherr advised Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) on securing a EUR 40m financing agreement for the development and long-term investment of a Puro Hotel in Budapest.
The firm provided cross-border legal advice in this financing, which will enable the Puro brand's first venture outside of Poland, with the hotel slated to open in mid-2026.
BGK is Poland's sole development bank, dedicated to supporting the country's sustainable social and economic development. One of its tasks is to finance exports and the foreign expansion of Polish companies.
