Poland: Schoenherr advises Sunrise Real Estate and Ares Management on EUR 1.5bln refinancing
Schoenherr, alongside A&O Shearman, advised Sunrise Real Estate and Ares Management on the Polish aspects related to real estate matters and securing a refinancing deal with Blackstone and Apollo Global Management, Inc. for a European logistics portfolio valued at approximately EUR 1.5bln.
The portfolio is made up of 33 assets, totalling 1.2 million square metres (12.9 million square feet), spread across the UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and Poland. With logistics assets in high demand, this refinancing is a critical step in leveraging assets across Europe.
The Schoenherr team advising Sunrise Real Estate and Ares Management was led by Katarzyna Sulimierska (partner) and Adam Nowosielski (senior attorney at law) and further included Ewelina Adamczyk (attorney at law), Karolina Samocik (attorney at law) and Róża Szatan (associate).
A&O Shearman Poland consisted of Anna Mądra, Maciej Wroniak and Bartosz Skalski on the borrower's side.
Eversheds Sutherland Poland (Mateusz Dereszyński, Adrian Ziółkowski and Michał Smolny) acted as legal advisor to the lender's side.
