Last year I wished our readers a successful year and one of meaningful change. Little did I know how spot-on that would prove to be for Schoenherr.
2020 was interesting and challenging to say the least. We all encountered dramatic shifts in so many aspects of our lives, and had to adjust to some bizarre changes, and certainly not by choice. Our clients were understanding, and adapted to some amended procedures and fewer in-person meetings, all while navigating their own challenges. I thank you for this. Despite the up-heaval, Schoenherr managed to remain robust and 2020 was indeed a success. Our people have proven adaptable in the face of particularly demanding circumstances, and remained in good spirits throughout. The strength, dedication and willingness of each person to adapt to the changes throughout the year is commendable. I am appreciative and extremely proud of them all!
And so, in line with these developments, the roadmap's theme for 2021 is adapt.
Our legal experts have put together insights into pertinent legal developments across the CEE region, which I am sure you will find insightful. On the artistic front we worked with the extremely talented Eva Schlegel, who show-cases her impressive "Cloudspace" pavilion in these pages. For more information about this remarkable artist and her work see pages 69 and 70.
My sincere hope is that as you reflect on the past year you will find meaning in any adversity you may have faced, and I hope it will serve as a catalyst for growth and renewed strength going into 2021.
