Schoenherr was named "The International Arbitration Practice that Impressed the Most in the Past Year" by the international arbitration journal Global Arbitration Review ("GAR"). Schoenherr received the prestigious award at the 7th Annual GAR Awards Ceremony in Milan on 29 March 2017.
Partners Anne-Karin Grill, Silvia Opriş, Jelena Bezarević Pajić, Nataša Lalatović Đorđević and counsel Leon Kopecký accepted the award on behalf of the firm: "We are thrilled to have been recognised for our work. Receiving this kind of acknowledgment from the world's opinion leader in the field of international arbitration is indeed significant and prized by our dispute resolution team. This GAR award confirms that the approach we have defined for ourselves is exactly right – to provide best-practice arbitration advice in integrated international teams that keep a close eye on local market practices and regional developments," commented Christoph Lindinger, Schoenherr partner and dispute resolution practice head.
Since its relaunch less than three years ago, Schoenherr's dispute resolution practice has built an impressive track record in investment and commercial arbitration cases alike, such as, securing prominent victories in Montenegro's three investment disputes and in a high-profile telecommunications case in Kosovo. Also, Schoenherr is in the vanguard of alternative dispute resolution, in particular commercial mediation in an institutional context.
Global Arbitration Review is an international arbitration journal published by Law Business Research in the UK providing news briefings, insight and analysis of the arbitration capabilities of law firms across the world, and it seeks to assist clients in finding specialist counsel across multiple jurisdictions. Schoenherr's arbitration practice is listed in the GAR 100 guide and its experts are recognised for their creative solutions and effective case management.
