Austria: Schoenherr advises BTV Multimedia Group on acquisition of STW Spleisstechnik West GmbH

With this acquisition (subject to merger control clearance), BTV Multimedia Group will expand its activities in the broadband sector to offer STW's customers an even wider range of services and, in cooperation with new partner companies and a strong financial investor, to pursue the efficient implementation of fibre optic expansion projects of any size.

BTV Multimedia Group is a rapidly growing group of medium-sized players in the broadband industry and pursues the goal of providing its customers throughout Europe with support in broadband expansion as a reliable partner with the best products and services.

STW is based in Tyrol and develops fibre optic rollout in the Alpine region, relying on modern installation methods. After the acquisition STW will continue to act as an independent and vendor-neutral partner for its customers.

The Schoenherr team consisted of Michael Magerl (partner), Bettina Kranawetter (associate), Christoph Haid (partner) and Johannes Frank (attorney at law).

The Noerr team was led by Holger Ebersberger (partner). STW was represented by Dr Georg Justich.
