Austria: Schoenherr advises Cherry Ventures on EUR 6m financing round for Flinn AI

Schoenherr advised venture capital firm Cherry Ventures on the EUR 6m seed financing round for the Vienna-based start-up Flinn AI. Specialising in the automation of compliance processes in the medical industry through artificial intelligence, Flinn AI is quickly emerging as a key player in the field.

The lead investor in this round was Cherry Ventures, headquartered in Berlin, with existing investors Speedinvest from Vienna and SquareOne from Berlin also participating. Additionally, over 30 business angels contributed, including notable individuals such as Matthias Weber, former President of Leica Biosystems, and Michael Reitermann, former CEO of Siemens Diagnostics.

The investment will be used to accelerate Flinn AI's mission to enable manufacturers of healthcare products to develop and operate high-quality products with tenfold efficiency, the start-up stated.

"This investment marks an important step for Flinn AI, strengthening its position in the automation of compliance processes within the medical industry," said Schoenherr partner Thomas Kulnigg, who led the team advising Cherry Ventures. "The participation of notable investors will support Flinn AI's efforts to enhance efficiency in healthcare product development."

The Schoenherr team was led by Thomas Kulnigg (partner) and further consisted of Dominik Tyrybon (attorney at law).

Brandl Talos (Roman Rericha, Adrian Zuschmann, Joseph Gstöttner) acted as legal advisor to Flinn AI.
