Austria: Schoenherr advises Liechtenstein Group on investment in PV-Invest

Schoenherr advised Liechtenstein Group on its investment in PV-Invest, a renewable energy company active in Austria and Southern and Southeastern Europe. The equity investment is intended to enable PV-Invest to accelerate its expansion in the currently rapidly growing market for the construction and operation of photovoltaic power plants.

"Photovoltaics is the future - we are pleased to have successfully advised Liechtenstein Group on this transaction in the renewable energy sector", said partner Alexander Popp, who led the advising Schoenherr team.

The signing of the transaction took place on 10 March 2021. The closing of the transaction is expected in the third quarter of 2021.

The Liechtenstein Group is owned by the Princely House of Liechtenstein and manages a portfolio of companies operating globally in the sectors of agribusiness and food, forestry, renewable energies and real estate. For more information see www.lgroup.com

PV-Invest is active in the renewable energy sector and produces electricity from photovoltaic and small hydropower plants with its subsidiaries in Austria and Southern and Southeastern Europe. Currently, the company has existing properties with more than 54 MW in operation and under construction. Over the next few years, it is planned to multiply the installed capacity in the company’s own portfolio to around 200MWp.
