Schoenherr advised REHAU Automotive s.r.o. on a strategic sale of its European sealing and extrusion business unit, which is based out of its site in Jevíčko, Czech Republic, to VINTECH Industries Inc., a US-based automotive parts supplier.

Besides negotiating the asset purchase agreement with VINTECH Industries Inc., Schoenherr also extensively advised on commercial, real estate and employment law aspects of the transaction.
REHAU Automotive s.r.o. is part of the REHAU Concern group, which unites five strong companies: Meraxis, New Ventures, RAUMEDIC, REHAU Automotive and REHAU Industries. Specialising in polymer-based solutions, the family-owned company generates annual sales of over EUR 4.5bln. Approximately 20,000 people work for the group, which has grown independently over the past century.
VINTECH Industries, headquartered in Detroit, has approximately 500 employees and operates manufacturing facilities in the US, Mexico, Portugal and China.
