Schoenherr wins two awards from leading financial journal Ziarul Financiar

Organised each year, this event recognises the legal advisors' work in the largest M&A transactions of the previous year in Romania.

This year, Ziarul Financiar acknowledged Schoenherr's advisory work in 2018 in the healthcare and FMCG sectors.

Ziarul Financiar recognised Schoenherr's advice on "The largest transaction in the healthcare market" for assisting Phoenix on the acquisition of Farmexim – the fourth largest pharmaceutical distributor in Romania – and its pharmacy chain Help Net. The Schoenherr team advising on this transaction was led by Markus Piuk (partner, corporate/M&A) and Monica Cojocaru (partner, Bucharest, corporate/M&A).

The second award, for "The largest transaction in the FMCG sector", recognised the firm's excellent work in advising United Petfood and Waterland Private Equity Investments on the acquisition of Nordic Petfood Production – the local leader in the pet food production market. Bucharest corporate/M&A partner Monica Cojocaru led Schoenherr's advisory team in this deal.
