Legal Tech @ Schoenherr

Schoenherr has been at the forefront of legal tech from the beginning. Today, we integrate legal tech, including but not limited to AI-powered tools, across five key domains: collaboration and transaction management, document automation, drafting and knowledge management, smart workflow tools, and AI/document review solutions. Our legal tech portfolio contains a variety of tools that are constantly re-evaluated, further developed, and challenged to ensure we are on top of technological developments and continuously enhancing workflows and efficiency. The newest addition to our portfolio is Harvey, the leading generative AI platform for the legal industry. For more information on our use of Harvey, take a look at their website.

Our legal tech team consists of experts with diverse expertise in both law and technology. We emphasise training our attorneys, as well as clients, to increase their awareness of AI capabilities and limitations by providing specialised training and supports matter-specific implementations. Our clients are, therefore, fully guided on legal tech matters, ensuring the effective and secure use of these technologies.

AI @ Schoenherr

As the AI landscape continues to advance
rapidly, we are consistently evaluating new
developments and conducting multiple pilots to determine how this technology can be securely and sustainably integrated into our current processes with a focus on value, efficiency and transparency. Our legal tech portfolio includes a variety of tools, with one of our latest additions
being Harvey.

Our approach integrates the education of our lawyers with their daily interaction with legal AI technologies. This dual strategy not only yields significant internal benefits but also equips us with the expertise to guide our Central and Eastern European clients through the intricacies of AI adoption. We are well-positioned to address the challenges that come with these advancements.

By prioritising the education of our legal team, we ensure they become proficient in utilising AI tools. This proficiency is not an end in itself but serves as a foundation for our lawyers to seamlessly integrate AI into their daily work. The result is a more efficient, innovative and forward-thinking legal practice.

Simultaneously, our early adoption of AI sets us apart and enables us to offer informed, practical advice to our clients. We understand the nuances of AI implementation and can confidently navigate the associated challenges. Our clients in the CEE region benefit from our hands-on experience and receive tailored support as they explore the potential of AI within their legal processes.

In summary, our commitment to legal AI goes beyond internal operations. It reflects our dedication to excellence and leader-ship in the legal tech space, ensuring that both our firm and our clients are at the forefront of technological innovation.

collaboration, project and transaction management

In today's swiftly evolving digital landscape, the integration of legal operations into daily  activities is not just an enhancement but a fundamental component of a modern law firm's
infrastructure.

At Schoenherr, we utilise an advanced legal tech stack to ensure that the right solutions are combined across the diverse spectrum of our processes.
From the foundational tools that facilitate collaboration and project management
to the specialised applications designed for complex legal tasks such as trans-actions, deal management, class action lawsuits and large-scale litigation, our legal tech  toolkit is designed to maximise synergy, efficiency and accuracy.

document automation

Our document automation solution seamlessly combines ease of use with advanced capabilities required for managing intricate templates and
complex contract frameworks. This unique combination enables us to leverage our legal expertise effectively in both internal and external automation initiatives for our clients.

It ensures consistency and quality in our first drafts while integrating with existing workflows to enable automated templates.

Our document automation projects exemplify the collaboration between our legal tech team and lawyers, enhancing our services. With this skillset,
we can assist in document automation projects and demonstrate how to implement these capabilities in-house for our clients.

back

drafting and know-how management

At Schoenherr, we are continually striving to improve how we leverage and share our knowledge. We use multiple solutions integrated into our Document Manage-ment System to streamline the drafting and review of contracts. With new AI capabilities, the way we access our
know-how will substantially change.

We are currently testing several solutions in this space to identify the best fit and value for our needs at Schoenherr. While these tools are rapidly evolving and must meet our specific criteria, the potential
AI brings is transformational. Traditional knowledge management systems are evolving into modern, intelligent repositories that can proactively tap into
our Schoenherr know-how,  suggesting content to lawyers based on the context and nuances of their specific tasks and documents.
