Czech Republic: Schoenherr advises PORTIVA Private Equity a.s. on the acquisition of a 50% share in EAG SE
Schoenherr Czech Republic advised PORTIVA Private Equity a.s. ("PORTIVA") on the acquisition of a 50% share in EAG SE ("EAG"), which through its subsidiary CARVAGOCOM s.r.o. will operate an innovative platform to be used for buying, selling and renting of cars and other related services.
"We were delighted to assist PORTIVA investment group in another successful transaction that strengthens its position in the Czech market and extends its portfolio through such an innovative project," said Vladimír Čížek, a partner in the Schoenherr Prague office who led the transaction team.
PORTIVA is an investment group with assets in three major divisions: power engineering, real estate & project development, and private equity. The total value of the assets under its management is more than CZK 2 billion.
EAG is a Czech holding company which, through its subsidiaries, is active inter alia in the field of car sales and rentals and is currently expanding into other areas.
The Prague team consisted of Vladimír Čížek (partner, Prague, corporate / m&a), Jitka Kadlčíková (attorney-at-law, Prague, corporate / m&a), Eva Bajáková (attorney-at-law, Prague, regulatory) and Stanislav Bednář (attorney-at-law, Prague, ip & dispute resolution).
Kinstellar acted as legal counsel for EAG.
