Schoenherr advised Saint-Gobain, a leader in light and sustainable construction, on the divestment of its Glassolutions business in the Czech Republic to an SPV incorporated by the original founder. The transaction is part of Saint-Gobain's continued optimisation of its business profile in line with its "Grow & Impact" strategic plan.

"This transaction required a meticulous and well-coordinated approach to ensure the seamless separation of Saint-Gobain's Glassolutions business in the Czech Republic," said Jiří Marek, Counsel at Schoenherr, who co-led the advisory team. "Our team worked diligently to navigate the structural complexities of the divestment, from the identification and delineation of all relevant assets and contracts to the successful closing of the deal. We are proud to have delivered a comprehensive legal solution that supported Saint-Gobain's strategic objectives under its 'Grow & Impact' plan."

The transaction involved considerable legal and commercial complexity arising from the structural intricacies of the divestment.
