MVP Schoenherr advised BENU, the largest pharmacy chain in Serbia, on the acquisition of 100% of the shares in Stesa-lek. Following the transaction, eight Stesa-lek pharmacies in Kikinda, Mokrin and Belgrade joined the BENU pharmacy network.
The transaction forms part of BENU's strategy to further strengthen its presence in local communities through the acquisition of established pharmacies and the integration of qualified healthcare professionals. The transaction was led on BENU's side by Miodrag Milić.
BENU has been present on the Serbian market since 2014 and is part of the international PHOENIX group. BENU operates more than 450 pharmacies across Serbia.
The Schoenherr team was led by Pavle Erić (Attorney at Law) and Luka Lopičić (Partner), and further included Isidora Grujičić (Associate). Zoran Šoljaga (Partner) advised on merger control matters.
