Serbia: Schoenherr advises CIAK Group on acquisition of Technolub

The transaction has been successfully completed, further strengthening CIAK Group's presence in Serbia and expanding its local portfolio and operations.

CIAK Group is one of the leading companies in the independent automotive aftermarket in the Adriatic region, with a strong presence across Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Slovenia.

Technolub is a major distributor of oils and other lubricants in Serbia and the wider region, specialising in the wholesale distribution of motor oils, lubricants and automotive chemicals.

The Schoenherr team was led by Igor Živkovski (Partner) and further included Zoran Šoljaga (Partner) and Marija Vranić (Associate), who advised on the merger control aspects of the transaction. On CIAK Group’s side, the transaction was led by Gordana Kordej (Lead Legal Counsel). The mandate builds on Schoenherr's longstanding relationship with CIAK Group, following its advice to the group on several previous transactions.
